Fajar B. Hirawan

Fajar B. Hirawan, Senior Researcher at the Department of Economics, Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), has contributed since 2006 and currently leads the Department of Economics. His research encompasses global economic improvement, food security, international trade, the digital economy, SMEs, rural-urban poverty, and developmental economics. He actively collaborates in national and global research networks. Fajar pursued his bachelor’s in economics at the University of Indonesia (2006), master’s in development studies at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” (2009), and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Sydney (2017).
